When was DUELS established?

2021! We're excited to launch one of Deakin's newest clubs. We began during COVID conscious of wanting to start and run a club with online events. Now that we're stepping away from lockdowns and isolation, we can't wait to bring our members together throughout the academic calendar at our many events, both online in person.

How often do DUELS execs meet?

The DUELS exec team meet weekly throughout trimesters to discuss all things club related and keep things running smoothly. If there is anything you'd like the DUELS executives to discuss or consider, send us an email and we'll bring it up during our meeting. 

In this meeting we also discuss externally run events that we can cross-promote, helping add value to our members.

How do I join a meeting for the first time?

Click 'Join Us' on the site menu. This page will take you to the official DUSA site where you can sign up to become a DUELS member. We'll be in touch shortly!

Not sure if DUELS is for you? Feel free to come to the next meet-up and test the waters before we make it official.

Is DUELS exclusive to Arts faculty members?

Absolutely not! Although some of our resources are of most value to arts-based students, everyone needs to write for their degree.
